Just wondering what is planned to run tomorrow and during the week? I notice it's down to be one of the 20s, but no-one's mentioned anything about them returning.

Last time one of the 50s deputised. Otherwise I believe D821 and D1062 are available? I know D8059 was due to return at the start of May but I think both are still at Washwood Heath. Unless someone can try and start up 20177 Laughing I don't think it will be a 20!

I have since found that D1062 is to do tomorrow and Monday (on the WLA website).

http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/R43181/2013/05/18/advanced reports it running 55 minutes early at Smethwick Junction, so you'll know soon!

Yes. Old Hill at 14.08. 47739 and D8059.

(EDIT Back home now, puffing and panting, and finishing the "now cool" cup of hot tea I had to leave when I realised it was running so early.)

I caught up with one of the owners this week.

All cab plate work and bodywork repairs have been completed. '88 is now undergoing a full power unit overhauj, hence the delay in her returning. A repaint will be carried out once all mechanical works are done.

"The Green 20" (so, presumably, D8059 - although I wouldn't quote me!) sat down at Arley today, and was rescued by what I presume was 50031.

The suggestion I heard was that it was possibly due to blocked fuel intake filters, but whether that's true and what the chances of its appearance during the week are I don't know.

(In slightly related news, I am told that 37109 did a test run to Bewdley and back yesterday)

D8059 failed with electrical problems. We managed to get to Arley where it decided that it wouldn't make Highley bank, so detrained passengers and managed to get to Highley and went into the siding to await rescue by 50031.

Master diary 11/1/14 reads: Dropping of D8188 and removing 37906 from KR TMD (also reported elsewhere).

No timings shown on Realtime Trains.

D8188 is returning following extensive mechanical and bodywork repairs at Boden Rail Engineering at Washwood Heath. I believe she's had a repaint into green and will make a fine pair with sister D8059 - we can't now identify them as 'green one' and 'black one'!
